I had someone ask me the above formentioned question the other day. He wanted to know what my expectations were in a job. At the time I really didn’t think about it so I said something stupid that wasn’t really what I expected out of a job. (I wasn’t thinking.) I thought about it after the fact and thought to myself “Self…that is not what you meant, right?” And I thought about it more and came up with these expectations (somewhat growing but good enough list):

1. I want to be challenged.
2. I want to be pushed past my limits.
3. I want to like what I am doing.
4. I want to mesh with the people around me.
5. I want to be able to do some really cool designs.
6. I want to be pushed outside my comfort zone.
7. I want to keep learning more and more about every aspect of design.

This list will grow, but those are what I want. I think a lot of people want the same things but don’t know how to express them. Well here you go steal my list. :)
